I have searched the site for the whole day and have come to the conclusion that the Business Economics degree, especially paired with an Accounting Minor, from UCLA is pretty good in terms of prestige and course quality as well as post-graduate recruiting. However, I've also wondered how well a pure Economics degree paired with the Accounting Minor will fair against the former?

Naturally, I’m looking to get into the business world after graduation. I want to gain enough experience to make me a strong enough candidate to get in a top MBA program and work my way up to executive management.

from my experience, bizecon is basically econ+accounting minor

if you have the right grades, apply to get into the bizecon major

if you fall short, do econ with the accounting minor. i didnt have the grades to get accepted into the accounting minor or the bizecon major. theres a formula they use to determine if u can get in or not and i missed the gpa cuttoff. they weigh grades in diff classes differently.

if you fall short of doing econ with the accounting minor you can still major in econ and take whatever accounting classes u want

i went to some recruiting events it was a great way to meet employers.
(i graduated with an econ degree from ucla and i was a member of the student accounting society.)
