What advantages and disadvantages do black students from the Caribbean, Africa, and other countries have when applying to selective American Colleges?
Do they fit in upon acceptance to the college and are they accepted?

If you come from countries that are underrepresented, it will give some significant(but not large) boost in your app.
For example, if student A and B have similar stats-GPA, SAT/ACT, ECs, etc-AND student A is from an underrepresented race/origin while student B is a Caucasian, student A has more advantage.

However, that’s only if you have had worked hard in high school and have done your best. Coming from URM origin can’t be an excuse for really bad GPA and SAT.

It really does not matter if you are black, blue, yellow or red, what does matter is how well you do comparing to the applicants from your country. If you are top student from your country or region, you are going some places.
