yep. i just got it in the mail.

yeah, they’re pretty bad with money.
my older sister goes to UTD,
and she pays for everything herself.
it kind of sucks, badddddddddd.

But just had an inerview today, so hopefully i’ll get a job soon

@wishful what do your people do for a living?

One of my son’s friends got Gateway today. The other three still haven’t heard.

Gateway is Great

plus they get the 1k scholarship

What courses do they take in Gateway program? I know the university chooses for them but what courses do they usually take?

Students will take two solid academic courses (3 credit hours each) and STLC 289 (1 credit hour) to finish the summer with 7 credit hours at Texas A&M University .

dont know which, probably Math + Reading ?

It can be psychology, speech, geography and a few others. You have no choice over what they pick.

gateway sounds good, but i’m avoiding that because i HAVE to be able to work this summer.
Pierre, my mums an RN & my dad’s an engineering manager;
but he recently lost his job :/

, i dont think it will help much your best bet if to start applying for tons of scholarships, its suprising that your parents dont have any saving

i know, i’ve applied for a lot
but i havent received any yet :/

most of your money will come from the schools, i am probably going to end up at UofH since they are paying my tuition and fees

really?
even if you get full admission into a&m?

idk really if i get a decent amount of aid , and get off the waitlist i may consider a&m, but if i go to UH i would have like 2k-3k left and that would go in my pocket. and UofHs business school isnt all that bad.

but i really want to go to Texas so i may go to UH and transfer out, but i cant pass up Full Tuition and Fees, btw its the Cougar Promise(for familys that make under 45k) plus i get the Texas Grant which is about 6080 plus i can get up to 4300 for the pell grant, and room and board is only around 7800, so i would have a little extra cash, plus i got a 1k scholarship from the Dallas black chamber of commerce

and i dont really care about school ranking , as long as i can get a 3.5 and a decent LSAT score i can get in Law School

that’s really awesome :)

I too got the options letter a couple of weeks ago and checked the waitlist and blinn team options.
I called the admissions office, and I was told to find out a decision no later than May. Apparently they have already sent out the acceptance letters, and that was early march. My friend sent her application well before mine, and still has gotten no reply. What does that mean for her??

I’m still on step 3. I applied before November.

i am guessing those that haven’t heard yet are probably not getting accepted based on the results this week.

: (

well I have strong stats but i’m international, so i can’t comment on this stuff since they accept min number of students.
