I have spent an hour Exeter’s website and could not find the answer. Is it some sort of modified block? Looks like each class meets 4 times a week, with one day a “fat” class? Would appreciate any insight? Thank you!
@Center would know
There are 2 week. Week A and week B. The schedule is different for each of the weeks.
It is a strange modified block schedule that I have yet to fully understand but SwimKid has it down LOL. I know they have fat blocks, certain classes don’t meet every day, like health. (Sometime he gets double sleep ins!) There is also a reserve format, which I believe is to additional extra time for certain classes. Plus then you add the occasional Saturday into the mix which mixes everything up!
I did hear a rumor last year that the schedule will be changing next year. Currently sports happen at different times throughout the day. Some kids have sports earlier in the day and then go back to class until 6pm. It was mentioned to us that will be ending next year and all sports become and after school activity.
@GoatMama and @BamaMomandDad and @momof3swimmers sorry-I just saw this. First I have no experience with a sport that doesn’t practice after school. (Yes fitness or health isn’t every day. )Thus far my kids sports are after the last block. I agree with the description of a “strange modified block schedule.” With half days on Wednesday and Saturday classes every 3 to 4 weeks it gets complicated. Certain classes get Fat blocks for extra time. I am not 100% clear on the difference between Fat blocks and reserve but I know that certain classes meet more frequently and certain classes are just longer. And yes occasionally he gets a really late start and can sleep in. I am sorry I cant be more help. I actually have the schedule on my desk from last spring i think --I will take a look and see if I can add anything more.
Thank you so much. We had asked our tour guide in the fall. She said something similar, but it make sit much clearer to see it in print. Appreciate it!
@BamaMomandDad feel free to pm me with any questions. good luck on M10
