Bloustein Scholarship Reduced ???

Just got my son's award letter (for the second year) and states that the award is $930 (instead of $1000 for the last year).
Did the state of NJ reduce the award?

Probably Budget cuts, the school is in a serious budget crisis.

I noticed the reduction as well. According to hesaa.org 'the value of the award is subject to annual appropriations'.

How can we forget the budget cuts from the state to RU last year. There was concern if the scholarships would be reduced or even eliminated. Rutgers sent letters to newly admitted scholarship candidates, promising to maintain the scholarships, meaning the total amount awarded, for all four years. Because of that letter, I am curious if RU will kick in (or should I say forgive) the tiny difference.

NJman - Bloustein is financed by the state. The amount of the award is equal for all recipients. The reduction has nothing to do with Rutgers, but rather everything to do with the current financial budget woes of the state. It shows their priorities when it comes to higher education.
