I know people say the best way to perfect the SAT is to practice the tests in the BB to get used to the types of Q/As in passages and stuff. However, since the book doesn't have explanations to its test questions, how does it help people to better understand what they did wrong? Is it more helpful to go through the actual chapters before diving into the practice tests? I know the review material is really brief, but it has a bevy of practice Qs with some of them having explanations, unlike the tests. So how do people usually use the book best?

The complete answers you have to pay for (or PM me). But not knowing the explanation may be a good thing because you'll have to develop the reasoning for the right answer, and over time, you'll start to "think" like the test makers.

you can review it without a detailed solution manual. in fact i found the latter distracting at times. use this question as your guide: "where did i go wrong/how did i get this right?" and apply it to every question (every single one....both right and wrong) on every paper you review.
