Blue Devil Days Question(s)

So I'm coming to BDD from out of state so a flight is required. I have 3 main questions

1) the cheapest flight (the only way i can go) doesn't get into raleigh/durham until 2 30 so i wouldnt get to duke until about 4ish. how important is it to be on time/is this a big deal?

2) is it possible to get a stipend from duke to pay for flights to attend BDD?

3) is there any reason for parents to come? for people who've done BDD, how common is it to see parents at BDD? (i just see no point, were not staying with them and my parents can save money and learn about duke online...)

I’m a parent of a recent grad, but I’ll jump in since no one has responded.

It won’t matter when you get there. Let the organizers know you will be late in case the registration table is moved/dismantled before you get there.

When our son attended BDD, the stipends were for highly recruited students. But it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

Parents are not necessary. Yes, they are common.
