BME-Rutgers vs RPI vs UConn vs SUNY at Stony

RPI $51,000
Rutgers $35,000
Stony Brook $21,000
UConn $25,800

The above are the schools I have been admitted to undergraduate biomedical engineering program and each cost of attendance to me.

Is each of them worth the money? Which one is the best choice?

Your inputs are appreciated.

I know the science department at rutgers is very very competitive, including engineering. Honestly, I dont know how the nation (outside of NJ) views Rutgers, I always thought of it as the place high school kids went after graduation because it was cheap and easy to get into. i honestly dont know what the reputation of RU is outside of NJ.

I think for the price, UCONN would get my choice. Either UCONN or Rutgers. But darn, I didn’t know Rutgers cost 35k … thats ALOT of money.

well it basically comes down to what is more important to you: reputation or saving money.

for me, it all came down to money, which at first, sucked A LOT, but i definitely would not have chosen the more expensive school erm nyu, if i had the choice to do it again, considering the economic climate and etc.

What state are you from? This is relevant if this is about money and dependent on where you would get state aid.

Since I am from MA, I will not expecting any state aid from the school.
