I know it’s not advised, but I’ve decide yo only apply to SPS, I love it, and it might give me an advantage. And if I don’t get in, I can only blame myself.

@rizzledrizzle IM APPLYING FOR BLAIR TOO!!! HIGH FIVE! :)

hey um like i went on privateschoolreview and for that site nmh has 25 extracurriculars, but on boardingschoolreview it has 46… that is a HUGE difference…? but privateschoolreview is the updated one but like its still really strange…

@clairee They may have counted clubs on boardingschoolreview and they didn’t on privateschoolreview. Or maybe they only counted clubs on psr and on bsr they counted clubs or something.

@claire: BLAIR BUDDIES!

I wouldn’t trust BSR for its list of clubs at all. I’m in charge of a major activity/club/sport at a boarding school and BSR doesn’t even list that we have it as an option at all! (A lot of our information is out of date on BSR, come to think of it…) Also, smaller clubs and activities change all the time. Students graduate or lose interest, so a club may fade after a year or two. I bet that it depends on who is counting the activities and posting the numbers. Different people are willing to include different stuff.

Hm… True. I still haven’t gotten my Andover login… And I completed my candidate profile! ):

@Ehphant I’ll be applying to be a freshman, what about you? @moonlite Yay, same here :)

@narwalsnarwals i’d be applying as a sophomore. Im not sure how many sophomores they add since it’s such a small school, but I’m hoping it’s a lot! Have you toured yet? they don’t offer many pictures of the campus online, so I was wondering how the science building is. I haven’t even scheduled my interviews yet because my parents want me to try a week or two of school before we “get too ahead of ourselves” :(

Total opposite of mine Ephant…

American: I think that it’s good that you’re applying to a school that you’ll be happy at if you get in.

Uuuugggghhhhhh my family is being really annoying. Now I’m only allowed to apply to 4 schools “at most.” They also expressed their severe displeasure with the idea of me going to boarding school. I just hope that I get in to at least 1 of the schools I apply to with enough financial aid!!! :(

Both of my parents aren’t very keen on the idea of me going to boarding school (BS). My dad especially doesn’t see the value in BS. However, my mother is a little more receptive to the idea, and is much more supportive. Since I live in California, it’s going to be incredibly hard for me to do interviews on the other side of the country. We already can’t really afford boarding school, and flying across the country to interview for schools that I may not even get into… Idk. My dad isn’t very receptive to that idea.

You could always do Skype interviews. Also what schools are you applying to as of now?

I’ve thought about doing either a Skype or phone interview, but my aunt advises against it. She says that we should just go and meet them in person. I’m applying to Dana Hall, Northfield Mount Hermon, Lawerencevill, Exeter, Ross School, Andover, and Kimball Union. I’ve also thought about possibly applying to Choate, Millbrook, and Proctor.

@starkali Dana Hall is a wonderful school! The campus is so pretty and the dorms are very nice. The new shipley center is top of the line, and is fabulous for any athlete. The girls there are also very friendly. If you want any more info, just ask!

@Ehphant, Dana Hall is definitley at the top of my list. Are you also applying there? Is anyone else going to apply for FA?

@starkali, no I am not applying there, but I have attended a few programs that the school runs, and my sister and many of my good friends attend there and a few are in the class that you are applying for. I happened to see your chances thread a few minutes ago, and you are about as qualified as many of them were, and I think you would fit in quite nicely as a dana girl. :)

I’m applying for freshman year and wanting to go most to andover and exeter :)

@Ehpant, thank you! Hopefully, the admissions boards thinks that as well…
