Hello Everyone ! For my junior year ( 2010 ) I plan on applying to some schools. This would be my first time applying to schools. Here are a list of schools that I'm intrested in..

Badminton School Bristol UK ( Girls )
St. Mary's School Calne, Calne UK ( Girls )
Branksome Hall Toronto Canada ( Girls )
Ridley College St. Catherines Canada ( Coed ) ?
Choate Rosemary Hall Wallingford Connecticut ( Coed )
Chatham Hall Chatham Virginia ( All Girls )
Shawnigan Lake School Shawnigan Lake BC ( Coed ) ?
St. Michael's University School Victoria BC ( Coed ) ?

The schools that have the ? marks beside them I don't really know if they have challenging academics that I'm looking for... Of course out of these schools Choate is the most challenging, but just in case I don't get into Choate I need back up schools. So I was wondering if anyone had any personal experinces at any of the ? mark schools or if you could tell me if their academics are college prep ready... Yes I have checked the websites many many times.. but they don't really give me a personal point of view of the schools. My dream University is Yale. So like I said I'm trying to find schools that have academics that are college prep level. Please and Thank you !

Ridley is without a doubt, one of the best boarding schools in Canada. HOWEVER - if you take a look at their matriculation data, only 1 student in the past 5 years has gone to Yale (most go to McGill). Not that I’m implying anything, though, I’m sure it’s a great school. Choate is definitely the strongest in academics out of your group, though.

St. Michaels is a great school. I live close to there, and it’s well-regarded. I don’t know a lot about their school but they’re one of the strongest schools in BC and probably Canada, too.

Shawnigan Lake has a lot of ECs but I don’t know anything about their academics. Their financial aid, if you need it, is pretty sketchy, unlike that of Ridley/St Michaels.
