This is my first post here. I'm auditioning at BoCo, Pace, Hartt, Emerson, and Plymouth State, and my orthodontist said I'm not going to have my braces off until after audition season is over. In any case, I definitely won't have them off for my audition next Sunday at BoCo, which is my top choice school.. Does anyone have any input about how, if at all, this will affect their decision? Do you think it will be a problem at all? It's really stressing me out!

You are YOU. Braces and all. You are auditioning for these schools as YOU! This is not like auditioning for a role, where you have to look the part. You are auditioning for a school. They are assessing your talent, potential for growth, personality, etc. But they are most certainly NOT assessing your teeth! Break legs!

This should not have any bearing on acceptance or not…my D went through her entire audition season with braces, and was asked by a few schools when they would come off…they were off by the time she started school and that was fine with them! Break a leg at your auditions!

I got into Hartt and auditioned with my braces. I did not audition at any of the other schools you mentioned but it did not seem to be a factor at any of my auditions. A couple of the schools asked me when they were coming off but not many.
