Personally I don’t understand why they just wouldn’t put me as no longer under consideration if my GPA was going stop them from choosing me. Both program coordinators have looked at my resume

Again, I’m not arguing against you or trying to compare resumes… I’ve got my offer. It seems like you’re trying to justify to me why you think you’ll get the internship, or you’re looking for some sort of support from us verifying that you’ll get it. I’m just trying to make sure that anyone else reading this thread isn’t getting the wrong impression of Boeing internships. If you have enough buffers in your resume to counteract your GPA and connect with all of their recruiters and interviewers, then obviously you’ll have a fighting chance (I say fighting chance because there is no such thing as a shoe-in internship, unless you have a close connection within company). For the vast majority of applicants, though, that GPA wouldn’t be good enough. It would take some extraordinary triumphs against adversity explained in the exact right manner along with a very understanding recruiter to cause a company like Boeing to deviate from its usual scope of qualifications. Even with such triumphs, there are recruiters that still won’t accept applicants below their set GPA standard – I’ve met them. They exist in every company.

Boeing is also infamous for leaving people “Under Consideration” for a long time. They don’t have multiple, visible steps that other companies like Caterpillar or Northrop Grumman have. They could leave you with that status weeks after your interview and still give you an offer lol. Hopefully things go well for you.

Yeah,I’ve hears horror stories about Boeing and their status updates. Really, at this point, it is what it is. They are either going to give me an offer or they will not. I’d just honestly like to know. As of today, they still have my interview results all miss construed and what not. So I’m not exactly sure if they even know what to do to be fair. Getting the interview was the hard part in my opinion
but like I said, all I can do now is wait until they can figure out how to give me a fair evaluation.

I am from a major public university in Texas. I applied online, had a phone interview about 2 weeks later, and one week later today I got an offer from the lady who interviewed me. I am a supply chain management major with a 3.75 GPA and in a few student organizations and did a semester reciprocal exchange in China. Hope this gives a bit of information for those who are still waiting! Good luck!
