Anyone used AU/Bon Appetit’s birthday cake delivery? Was it any good? My D is celebrating her first birthday away from home and I was thinking of ordering a cake for her.

I didn’t even know this existed (D’s birthday is in the summer, so never had this issue), but I’m sure that do a decent job on a basic cake. We attended a parents weekend brunch and I seem to recall the desserts were quite nice. As an alternative, Whole Foods (just a shuttle ride away) has a lovely bakery department with many options. Perhaps you could contact one of your D’s friends and arrange to foot the bill for a cake they can pick up there.

Another option to consider is Georgetown cupcakes. You can order online and they deliver to AU. They’re a little pricey but it’s a special treat.

Wow that is a great idea!

We’re a big Food Network family so the DC Cupcakes were a big hit. D keeps saying she wants a “Duff” (Ace of Cakes) cake for graduation.

The online ordering for Georgetown Cupcakes couldn’t be easier and I figured cupcakes are probably easier to share and deal with than a cake.

Thanks for the suggestions. Great to know they deliver. I will definitely do that next time. I ended up ordering cupcakes from Something Sweet on Macomb and asked my cousin to pick up and deliver.

Happy birthday to your daughter!

Thank you NJMom and srco14!
