Book in 5 hours

^
Probably because most people don't know what he's talking about. As for me: been there, done that.

I read the 7th Harry Potter book in 4 hours, and at that from 12:00am-4:00am.
That's pretty close to Pi pages per minute. lol Meaning I'll interpolate that I can read said 200 page book in an hour.

-_- Gross!

Aigiqinf, you're my intellectual hero. Why don't you respond to my PMs?

@Metdeth
:) I thought I was going to have to read that book myself to find out the end.

Thanks, I was wondering why no one responded. I'm sure that all you smartasses would figure it out by now.

LMFAO dude I missed your post because I usually skim the OP and the last posts, but wow..

I read Harry Potter 1-4 in five hours. You just have to get into it.

If it's a good book and doesn't have really large pages or really tiny print, 200 pages in 5 hours is easy.

Why do you guys read so fast? Do you still understand everything? Are you reading every word or just skimming?

When I read I do not want it to feel like work. I relax and take my time.

When I read fast I'm enjoying every bit of it. Would you want your movie slowed down so you can enjoy it more? I know it's two different things, but sometimes when you're reading a really good book it's hard to slow down.

If I read an amazing book, I usually reread it again after a while, and I take the time to savor it then.

Yeah it is possible to understand almost everything. It takes the second reread to actually get into the finer details of the book... but that's the way I like to read good books.

I'm reading every single word-- just really fast.

haven't read a book for school in a long time.

you just have to know what you need from the book ;)

pshh...200 pgs. in 5 hours that's like 0.666666666 pgs. per minute. Who couldn't.

Well, I guess if it was for school then no, then I read like 2 min per page but otherwise I cna fnish 200 pgs. in like 2 hours.

Like people said, it depends on font size, atmosphere, and interest.

I can finish Dune in about 6 hours, and that's...what, 500 pages?

I just seem to misplace all of your PMs in the trash, where they belong.

Seriously though, according to your stats profile, you've got your ducks in a row. I'm sure you're a fast reader and you stand out in your school. You've been helpful to many people here. But why do you feel the need to deprive those of us who live in milieux that lack an organized intelligentsia or just simply lack a decent pool of genii from our naivety? Can't we enjoy lionizing ourselves until we reach college? The king of a small country enjoys those who truckle to him, no matter how insignificant he or his country is.

it took me like 2 months to finish Anil's Ghost xD god I hate that book

If it's a math book... YEAH!
unless it's math problem book... then it will take dayz...

200 pages in 5 hours? I'd be finished after 2 hours at the latest and be bored for the other 3 hours.

Yeah, I could do 200 pages in 5 hours.

If it's a moderately difficult book, like the kinds of books I usuallylike to read, It would take me about 6 2/3, figuring 2 minutes per page. I'm a slow reader, and I like to dissect things while I read so that I notice and absorb everything.

Haha, you're cute.

I just got really annoyed by a lot of the posts in that c*ck-waving "people think I'm a genius" thread and I guess I took out my anger on you. Truce? I suppose you do deserve the petty praise that your paysans shower upon you. (You know, as if I have the right to judge intelligence at all.)

Haha, yes. Like once every other week for APE I did. RAWR!
