Book Questions

Hey everyone,

So the book lists have come out and the only classes for which I need to purchase materials are biology and chemistry (I already bought my GE textbook). I already have my bio textbook, but I need to purchase the chem textbook, lab manuals for both classes, and some other things (photographic atlas for bio; solution manual and math survival guide for chem).

Could someone please suggest how I should deal with these? Should I buy them at the bookstore or order them online? Can the lab manuals ONLY be purchased at USC? I've heard from many people that I should wait until classes start to purchase books, but I would greatly appreciate any input.

Thanks for your help!

You can only get the lab manual from the Bookstore, or in some cases directly from the department. For the others, ff it’s a published book then you can often get it online for significantly cheaper. Used is fine, but just make sure it’s the same edition that you need. Buying books after classes start is not too late.

Much appreciated, Hawkwings. Thanks!
