I wanted to check what books I would need to buy, and I went to the NYU Bookstore site, and did a search where I entered my course Id, and all that info, and only 5 books came up, which I found weird.

I tried it again and instead of entering my Course name and ID and all that stuff, I used my net ID and it gave me a list of like 20something books.

Is this the final book list? I find it weird that only 5 of these books come up when I enter my course ID's and do a search. Should I go ahead and buy all those books, or should I wait until the list is updated?

The list you got using your N number/birthday is pretty much final now ... I was really frustrated when I got to class first day and my professor said I didn't need some of the books. I had wasted my money. But the other side of it is - if you don't order them in advance, you might not have them in time and then you have to go pay full price at the bookstore.

Ok I'm not having the problem anymore, so nevermind, but thanks anyway.

I'm ordering my textbooks in advance, but I'll probably take some of the literary novels out of the library. I mean, I have like over a dozen novels for a class and I'm guessing it won't be a problem to borrow them from the library.
