<p>I don't think he is trying to invoke memories of the Nazis burning books, I think he is just asking for some REALLY bad, bad books that are terribly written and boring as well.</p>

<p>I've read many bad books over the years, but My Antonia by Willa Cather definitely takes the cake. Absolutely no plot, extremely boring, and completely pointless.</p>

<p>I'm reading One Hundred Years of Solitude right now and I like it so far. I has this rare fairy tale-like quality to it that you don't find in many books.</p>

<p>i don't remember A Separate Peace being that bad...but i don't really remember it at all...BUT there is now way you can say Lord of the flies is bad it's a quality book...and the fountainhead isn't bad either...
