Boston College Class of 2020 Regular Decision Thread

I haven’t physically mailed BC my financial aid stuff yet but I submitted fafsa and CSS on time, am I screwed? because my parents haven’t filed the 2016 tax forms yet

Same as @thesebajun . If they haven’t reached out to me, does it mean that I’m not getting in? Or perhaps after looking at my fafsa and css, they decided I’m not eligible?

Same boat as you @thesebajun
I emailed them asking for a fax # and if it was alright and they gave me a fax # but never a answer if it was alright for my noncustodial parent profile to be this late or not

So is there no chance of decision emails today?

Any predictions what day they’ll email them? And will they email them all at once or in batches?

I’m thinking Tuesday, only because last year the notification day was the second day of the given time period.

@hi456378 bc admissions usually tweets that they’re releasing decisions right before they come out and usually they come over a span of two hours. (For early they tweeted around 5 they’re sending emails and then two hours later they said all emails were sent.)

@thesebajun same man. I hope it’s not too late.

if someone hears from them, let us know on this thread so the rest of us can keep a close eye on our emails

Where else is everyone applying?/ Is BC your top choice?

I love Boston so I also applied to BU and Northeastern, but I liked Bc and Northeastern much more than I liked Bu. Also applied to UNC, UVA, brown, Tulane, and Wustl. Top choices are probably Brown, BC, northeastern and UVA

Could it be tonight?

@swimgirl1 They just tweeted on the admissions twitter that they won’t come out today, instead it’ll come between 14th-18th.

Ya what are the chances of tonight? I feel like it will be tuesday!

Im from California so I applied to UCLA UCB UCI UCSC, U of San Francisco, SDSU, Reed College, U of Portland, and St Lawrence
But I absolutely love Boston so I applied to BU BC and Northeastern

@thebrain13 @reppincollege1

Did you guys send BC anything via mail at all, like tax forms from 2015? because I haven’t. and the deadline has passed a while ago even for the 2016 forms…

@thesebajun No, just the FAFSA and CSS. I’m confused about why some schools need just those two and others need more. Or why doesn’t BC just use idoc, which some of my schools use and is way easier to work with. I’m pretty sure I would get little to no financial aid from Bc anyway

@thesebajun Nope. I got filing issues so I sent the 2014 ones in the mail. I sent in the FAFSA and CSS information before the deadline so they said they’ll make financial aide estimates if they need to.

I did send our 2014 and 2015 tax documents in the mail to bc. I believe I saw a checklist on their financial aid website, so I knew to do this. Obviously, I could only send 2015 once we received everything. I do think it’s peculiar that bc doesn’t use idoc for these items. Perhaps if you didn’t send them in, any financial aid award will take longer to receive. Good luck to you all this week! !

I’ve got Georgetown, Carnegie Mellon, Bentley, Fordham, Cornell, American university, Dartmouth, George Washington university, Duke, USC. And BC is among the top.
