**boston college rd 2021 discussion thread**

Also my E tab is still there - B is gone tho

I just checked my daughter’s portal who was accepted back in the EA round. Her tabs are now A C D E F P. As previously discussed, E disappears every night and then comes back we think. And BC will not change the portals until decisions are received so there probably will not be clues on the portal until you have your decision. Hope this helps…I think I have it straight.

Did anyone email their admissions counselor with updates? I did that and I’m not sure whether that could help or hinder my decision…

Also, thinking about colleges and spending time on college confidential have caused me to neglect my snow shoveling duties… This blizzard tho… :))

I emailed 2 updates one right after being deferred and then one at the beginning of March. Honestly, BC doesn’t care about interest but if you do show it with an update I think it could help you. The admissions counselors are people and they are probably more likely to remember someone who emailed them.

I emailed my admissions counselor a few weeks ago with an update on my grades and some extracurricular updates - no idea if updating them will help but it’s worth a shot

is the Connell School of Nursing one of the more difficult programs to get into?

I think as long as you don’t overdo it and truly update your counselors in a meaningful way, it can never hurt to reach out to them.

I called BC yesterday to check on the status of Financial Aid documents, and I asked him about that email and FA portal (I didn’t get an email) and he said that they only sent it to people who were missing documents… so I guess that means that it meant nothing in terms of admissions? Hope that eases fears!

Thank god since I didn’t get an email

Can anyone confirm that if they got that email that there was something incomplete about their FA application?

@bluenette23 i did and I didn’t have supporting documents

@bluenette23 received an email and some of our documents were missing. It is crazy they can coordinate FA documents for all the thousands of applicants!

Good luck everybody!!!

do you think they are still reviewing apps at this time?

@mike8888 no probably not… they’re probably setting up emails to communicate decisions and putting the letters together

good luck!

Given that we’ve all been patiently waiting for like forever, anybody down to order us some food?

huh I got that fa email and i didn’t have any missing docs… maybe they sent it to me by mistake? seriously hope there weren’t any errors in my docs

I got the FA email and it turns out ALL of my documents are missing. My mother told me that she decided to take BC off of the FAFSA list months ago without telling me because I was deffered EA. She assumed that meant they would still have a record of my information.

So, if I get in I won’t be getting any aid. This also makes me a little nervous about my actual admission… could an incomplete FA application affect my admission?

I don’t think so. From what I’ve seen admissions are decided first, then FA. It’s need blind admission I think. @megkell898
