Boston College RD 2022 Thread

Accepted from California! I’m so excited  35 ACT and 4.2 weighted

Accepted from MN! 33 ACT (34 superscore) & 4.086 GPA

For those wondering about the financial aid, it should be posted here http://www.bc.edu/finaidapp, using the ID you got when you submitted your application. I didn’t submit some documents so I’m not 100% sure the details are there but it will tell you if you submitted all the documents.

Waitlisted.
31 ACT, 1430 SAT, 4.0 GPA, pretty good extracurriculars, 4 APs, and I thought I had a good supplemental essay. I signed up for the waitlist but I doubt I’ll get in on it. Oh well! Congrats to all those who got in :)!

How do we check cost of attendance?

Accepted, 3.9 UW, 4.9 W, 1490 SAT, Really Strong EC’s and Recs (3 leadership positions and steady job + Recs from two teachers I really care about)

accepted from tn! 34 ACT, 1430 SAT, 3.89 unweighted, 4.6 weighted. a lot of extracurriculars & really good recs

Wait what is our eagle ID?

BC sent us an email with it when the day we sent our application

never give you eagle id to anyone!

S accepted 35 ACT composite

My father walks in, just home from work “So? What’s the verdict?”

“I’m going to need to wait a little longer,” I replied.

“How much longer?”

“Too long.”

Thoughts on the “short story” I wrote on this thread as we were all waiting for our decisions?

Waitlisted by UVA and BC today…

1440 SAT
3.85 UW GPA
Taken every AP my school provides
Number 2 in my class
4 years varsity basketball and 3 years varsity cross country
Captain of varsity basketball team in my junior and senior year.
Recommendations were good. I have really strong relationships with all my recommenders.
Essays: worked on them for months. All I gotta say.

Can’t believe I was waitlisted by two schools in one day…but I have gotten into Michigan (OOS), Villanova, University of Miami, University of Washington, and UCSB so at least I have options. Yet to have been outright denied from a school. Still waiting to hear back from USC, Duke, Penn, NYU, Georgetown, and Berkeley.

Congrats to all that got accepted!!! And to those that didn’t- we will succeed wherever we end up. Everyone that is on this thread is ambitious, driven, and will succeed in whatever they put their mind to.

Wow. S was Waitlisted CSOM. 34ACT near perfect GPA unweighted in all honors and APs. 2 varsity sports and 100s hours community service.

Honestly didn’t expect that. Colgate yes; BC waitlisted.

accepted! i was very surprised.
3.79 UW / 4.2 W, 1500 SAT, 720 BioE, 640 Math 2 (lol), 7 APs, barely top 20%, very competitive socal hs, terrible ecs lol

Waitlisted from CT for English. 4.2WGPA. 1360SAT. Honors classes and 6 APs. Double legacy.

@eiknarf please don’t assume your son’s decision is because of affirmative action. Colleges want different things in applicants and it just happens that there was someone else that was a little more qualified than us.

Accepted to the Carroll School of Management!
ACT 32, IB predicted grade 45, v strong extracurriculars & essays.

@MrElonMusk — love your humility and grace in the face of a WL (and your short story)!

That isn’t necessarily true, though (re: being slightly less qualified than accepted students). I’m sure you’re as qualified as many accepted. BC is just trying to “build a class” as they say and, as a result, sometimes someone who is otherwise qualified just isn’t accepted.

I see good things for you in this process. And good luck on the WL!

@eiknarf what I meant by “qualified” includes the gpa, test scores, essays, and extracurriculars…

I get what you mean though.
