Rejected - White male from oklahoma, 31 ACT, 4.2GPA - senior and junior class president, president of 2 clubs, 4 years of rowing, eagle scout, IB diploma candidate 12 IB courses and 4 APs. good luck 2023 applicants hahahaha hahahah

where did people find FA? @NoahBarboza was it through the portal?? I can’t find anything :frowning:

Any tips for appealing an abysmal aid package (more than 20k difference from the cost calculator!)? Could there have been some sort of error?

anyone know how to access the financial aid, because i have been checking for the last few days and i am getting the same message about how i do not have an award to view.

does scholarship info come with the FA? or should it have been posted with your award letter? (my FA isnt up bc they didn’t have a doc, mine will be out next week)

@sendmetothemoon same here. How long do you think it takes for them to get back to you?

@totahanem mine is too! 20k more than net price calculator and all my other offers

I had to send in required documentation for FA in the mail today. The office said it will take two weeks to process…

ok sorry for the same question but does scholarship information supposed to come with the acceptance letter or the financial aid letter??

What type of scholarship? BC doesn’t offer any merit except for the Gabelli. If you received an athletic scholarship you would know about it I think.

@sendmetothemoon
What do you mean with scholarship? Boston College does not give merit scholarships except for the Gabelli Presidential Scholars (already decided through EA.)
Right now what is given out is strictly need aid and that comes with the financial aid letter. There is nothing else.

Accepted into Nursing idk how, 1280 SAT, 4.5 weighted GPA, took AP Lang/Euro/Calc/Physics, little to no extra curricular aside from playing a music instrument.

@Sugarnyc
They say it takes two week but it’s actually not that long. I sent my FA information in, they received it on Monday, and it updated yesterday, so only 1 day. Now I have to send more haha.

Hello, potential 2023 applicant here! Wondering what my chances are for next year with a somewhat low SAT score. I scored 1370 and have tried to get it up but just can’t raise my score!!!

So are my chances pretty unlikely for BC?? Did any of you get in with similar scores?

I also have a good GPA (3.97) with a rigorous schedule for my school’s standards (3 AP’s this year with 4 planned for next year), leadership/clubs (student body president at school of 2,500; DECA, NHS, and French Club member; and volunteer work), and I have some really good teachers that I know will write good letters of rec next year

Thanks guys, and congrats to those accepted
