Boston College Substance Free Floors: Good or Bad Idea?

Hi everyone!

I’ve read very contrasting opinions & experiences about substance free dorms.
I would love to hear any feedback from BC people with sub-free floor experiences or stories.

I know sub-free experiences differs a great deal depending on the school, so it would really help if you have any BOSTON COLLEGE experiences, stories, etc, to share. Any input is appreciated.

Do sub-free floors tend to be quieter at Boston College?

Are BC sub-free floor students at a social disadvantage because they are ostracized by other kids as social pariahs or killjoys?

How popular is sub-free living at BC?

Are BC sub-free floors populated by kids who are forced by parents to move in there?

Do BC sub-free students drink in moderation but ensure they do not return to their dorm floor drunk? Or is this complete abstinence from alcoholic beverages?

How would you describe the people who choose to live on a BC sub-free floor?

Any help and input is appreciated!
Thanks so much in advance!

small nit, but nearly all floors in all colleges are legally sub-free. (Most college students are under 21 and should not be in possession of any substance.)
