My son and I are going to Boston University later this week for an info session and tour. We need to be there at 10 am. Anyone know about the parking situation for admissions visits? Will it be a problem?

Suggestions? We are planning a Boston and back in a day trip from western Connecticut ... so we are leaving early in the morning.

We were there 3 weeks ago. There is construction on Bay State Road right in front of the Admissions Office (at least there was a few weeks ago). You need to park on Commonwealth Avenue. We parked at our hotel right across the street, Hotel Commonwealth. On their website, they have a map that shows where you can park.

If you’re looking for somewhere to have lunch, try Uburger on Commonwealth. It was GREAT!

Have fun - we liked BU much more than we thought we would and it made it onto my daughter’s list.

Go on the website at BU and find the parking services folks or call the admissions office. They will give you a parking permit for the DAY and also tell you which lots you can use. Really, they are most helpful.

You can also ask them if it is possible to email you a letter with the info to present at the parking lot. We had one that we put on the dashboard of our car and/or showed to the parking attendant (if there was one).
