Shoot4moon, thank you for your encouraging reply. it was very nice to hear. I often times feel like I am fighting by myself but I know that the struggle is worth it. Interesting what you say about CGS! I know a lot of folks like to categorize CGS students as being “less intelligent” or “less motivated” or say the program is designed to be easy. I find it particularly attractive because of the “small college within a big university” feel, and that, because of this atmosphere, the professors get to really know you and help you improve!

It’s also great to know that CGS has a history of admitting “colorful” applicants. I’m going to hope it works out.

Hey guys! I’m applying ED to CAS as a computer science major.

GPA w: 3.59 uw: 3.36
SAT: 1830
ACT: 29
Math II subject: 710

Although my SAT is low I did get a 690 on the math section do you think they will take into considerration that comp sci doesn’t really require English because my CR is a 540? I really want to go here but it doesn’t seem like my scores are as high as other people.

oh man, i’m so anxious!!
i really want to get my admissions decision ASAP, but at the same time don’t…
i’m so afraid of getting that email, going to my applicant link and seeing: REJECTED.

As far as receiving our decisions on Monday the 10th, I don’t know if that is true. Won’t they need the extra time since the submission date was delayed due to hurricane sandy?

I hope they post the decisions earlier than the 15th! I’m supposed to find out my decision from UIUC on the 14th, and I much rather find this one out first. Does anyone know if it is an advantage if you are the only one from your school applying ED?

I think we could hear Monday. Columbia extended their submission deadline and they receive a lot more ED applications. My friend got her acceptance yesterday :)

I applied ED to BU (Class of 2017) for CAS Econ & Math.
SAT: 2020/2400
GPA (Unweighted): 3.3/4.0
My application status still says, “Our records currently indicate that your application for admission is complete. Please note that the status of your application file and the required credentials are only accurate to date.”
Shouldn’t it have changed by now? I’m flipping out. :/

AM5, don’t worry. I called them about the Trustee Scholarship (because it wasn’t listing as having been submitted) and they said it could take up to two weeks to process everything, but maybe call them if you’re really worried.
