any idea when we will get an actual letter (like from the mail haha) or find out news on the honors college?</p>
<p>My admissions rep said they would mail letters out BY the 15th, and we might get physical letters before applicant link, but most likely applicantlink first!! She said letters would be postmarked by Dec 15</p>
<p>My other friends have received particular dates and times of the release of their decision (Yale, UPenn, etc). Does BU not do that? Its so much worse this way :/</p>
<p>yeah i dont think the admissions department provides much more detail than “by december 15.” i’ve contacted them and they said they aren’t sure when decisions will be released and didn’t provide any comment when i asked for more specific release date/time</p>

<p>the ED coordinator, jon, contacted me and told me that statistics for admissions wouldnt be released to public until after the regular decision admissiosn decisions are released in april</p>
<p>I called and they just said by December 15th. Guys, I’m not sure how much longer I can wait!</p>

<p>AM5991 - just called and talked to one of the admissions office assistants - found out a few things. </p>
<p>1) both ED and RD applicant who also applied for full-tuition Trustee Scholarship, those won’t find out if they were selected for the scholarship until first days of april.
2) since all applicants are considered for the $20,000 presidential scholarship automatically, when decisions are released, both online and via mail, ED applicant will be notified if they were selected to receive that $20,000 per year able to be renewed upon good standing cirumstances
3) asked her “is there any more specific time for ED releases?” and she said that the “president of admissions is the one who decides when and ‘clicks deliver’ on all applicant link decisions so the actual office personnel has no control or info about release dates.” she mentioned that it has been confirmed that all ED applicants have been reviewed and have a contingent decision already made - contingent by means of receiving final transcripts and said contingency also can affect scholarship eligibility even if you are notified you got the 20K presidential.
4) i said “since we only have about 5 more days before the latest notification date, when can we expect an email and applicant link update?” she replied with, “although nothing is official, from ED in years past, ED applicants should expect online decisions sooner in the week rather than later” and she slightly chucked saying that, so maybe thats a good sign.</p>

<p>yeah that’s what i didn’t understand when i called and found out that all decisions had been made. not sure what is making them wait - perhaps there’s some weird policy that they can’t release before a certain date? who knows? i’m sitting here with this forum, aplpicant link, and email open and refreshing and logging in and out waiting hopeing the 3PM EST rumored release is true</p>
