Probably. It seems like they caught it pretty early seeing as I got the second email a day later, probably because of all the people calling in asking about the first. If you got the first email (“Welcome to the BU Community”) you should have gotten the second (Confirming your admission). I wouldn’t worry about getting the email or not, it doesn’t seem like a lot of people got it.
Hey guys, just wanted to share some of my stats. I got into Boston University (Questrom) last fall as a junior transfer.
Went to a smaller state school
High School GPA: 2.8?
Old college GPA: 3.86
If you get in, go. It was the best decision I ever made. Don’t be afraid to ask me questions on this forum, if I don’t respond right away I am studying for an exam I have on Monday lol.
Hi guys,
This question might be weird but I have a problem with my application status…
I am currently a ccc student looking to transfer
Is it by any way possible that you don’t need to submit a high school transcript?
Because I only attended about one year of high school in another country, but I did get a high school equivalency diploma…
Thanks for replying!
Hey guys.
I applied to BU and I’m a freshman transfer from a big 10 school. I am in the honors college and made honors semester and deans list. The professor that wrote by rec was a BU alumni and was the only teacher I have had for both semesters. I am a senator for my colleges student government and I am participating in research. I am applying to the Wheelock college of ed to study Deaf Studies. I know that most people are applying to questroom or CAS. Is anyone applying to the College of Ed. I am wondering if its easier to get into since there is less people applying.
Hoping to find out soon!
Thanks
@JohnSmith12345 how was your financial aid? Did you get any scholarship?and when did you find out that you got accepted?
Anyone planning to change their major right now but wrote their essay on your intended major from the start?
@collegegirl1287 yeah, I applied to political science but I’ll be switching to CS if I get admitted. I only completed Calc 1 and I don’t really have any other technical courses on my transcript so I figured I’d probably be a weak CS applicant
For anyone that’s paragraphs changed from 3 to 2 on Friday do you think we’ll get our decisions tomorrow?
@penntousc They may not allow that switch.
@sam127 I would say so, I’ve seen people say earlier that they posted decisions the first Monday in April. Also, it sounds like the first wave of decisions have been made.
do you think that if you’re at 3 paragraphs right now, it is a rejection or they just haven’t reviewed your application yet?
@penntousc i was thinking of changing my major now, but i applied to CAS and if i changed to COM my essay wouldn’t make sense, so i was wondering if anybody was in the same situation as me… not if im admitted first
is it too early to ask to be on the early review list?
@collegegirl1287 what is the early review list?
@estabrooka from last years thread, people called to be placed on it which is requesting to get your application reviewed early
@collegegirl1287 wouldn’t everyone want to be on that list and get their decisions faster?
@Coopy1 I’m not too sure. I was reading last years thread and came upon that.
I think the “early review list” is something they made up to quiet people who call in.
Accepted!!!
@bostonunibound when did you get your email?
