*boston university rd class of 2020 thread*

I got into the college of engineering with the presidential scholarship!

Rejected College of Arts and Sciences for Biochemistry, honestly really surprised as I thought I had a great chance.
3.77 UW GPA/ 4.68 W
34 ACT
3 APs (2 of them Chem: 5 and Bio)
I’m not too torn up about it because it was not my top school but I definitely would have been happy going there. I think the worst thing for my app was that I live a half hour away and BU wants to diversify their geography.

Many victims of Tufts syndrome on here lol

Wow! I wish I had heard of Tufts Syndrome before today. Does anyone know if colleges that accept the Common App can see what OTHER colleges you have applied to? This makes some sense for some of my D’s other acceptances/denial

Accepted College of Arts and Sciences (Undecided).
ACT 36
GPA UW: 3.9 W: 4.6
AP Bio 2, AP Eng 4, APUSH 5, AP Psych 4, AP Gov 4, AP World 4
Senior year schedule: AP Calc AB, AP Statistics, AP Physics I, AP Lit, AP Human Geo

Thanks for the feedback @Hatscatshatscats and @notrel52 .

Congrats to all those who got in! Best of luck to those that didn’t!

U can tell if it’s Tufts syndrome if the school wait lists u
Colleges think you would go to a better school but do not want to let you go if per chance you would attend that school so they wait list u

Accepted CAS! Waiting on KHC still :stuck_out_tongue: Probably will be in something they send

Accepted
SAT: 2070
Rank: 13/277

How do u know if u got into honors college

To those with great stats that didn’t get in: I got waitlisted at boston college with stats that out me in the 85th percentile (grades and test scores). I list a lot of confidence but just for accepted to BU with a 40,000 grant. The admissions process is unpredictable and doesn’t define you or what you are capable of. Congrats to all that for in and good luck to those that didnt.

Accepted to the Kilachand Honors College! To find out if you were accepted look under the “decisions” tab and it will say “Kilachand Honors College Welcome” on the last tab if you were admitted.

This being said, I was accepted but with seemingly no merit aid. Is anyone else in this situation? I understand that the Honors College is separate from the Office of Admissions, but it seems odd to me to not have been given merit aid but to have been admitted to the honors college since that means I must have had at least a somewhat competitive application.

Haven’t heard from CA yet? Decisions still rolling out I guess?

@Mchichioco decisions are on the portal!

Sorry for the poor grammar. My phone’s autocorrect is hyperactive.
