Will they tell you if you didn’t get into KHC or should I assume rejection?
My Daughter was accepted ACT 31. GPA 3.5 UW. 22+ AP/Honors. Excellent recommendations from teachers who know her well and great essays. Is very active in EC.
@SoCalGirl98 - she was rejected from UCLA yesterday - some of this is luck of the draw I think.
@Chris817 Wish you were correct (because that would mean that I was unjustly put on the waitlist) but I don’t think that’s the case for me. I really was interested in going to BU, but it was really dependent on FA. Since I am on the waitlist, even if I write to them and show tons of interest, the waitlist letter states that not much FA will be left so don’t expect any. My family’s EC is about 28k. There’s no possible way I can go to BU without aid. They’ve got to know that. They clearly aren’t interested in me - the waitlist is useless. It’s definitely not a way to see if I really want them.
ey guys to the people who got a guaranteed transfer, I’ll hook you up some information about scholarships if I get it. Also, I think the reason why BU has tufts syndrome and probably rejected more people was because they added ED II.
But yeah, no idea why they gave some of you guys or me the guaranteed transfer??? I don’t see the point considering our stats were literally in the range.
also, for gteds, next year around january, they’re going to send you an email that looks like this
"I would like to remind you of the following important deadlines for the Guaranteed Transfer Admission Program.
February 1, 2016: Please have the following documents sent directly from your high school and college to: Boston University Admissions, 881 Commonwealth Avenue, 6th Floor, Boston, MA 02215. They may also be emailed to schforms@bu.edu.
Final high school transcript and proof of graduation
College transcript with first semester grades
March 1, 2016: Application deadline for Boston University financial aid.
March 31, 2016: Deadline for the submission of the Transfer College Report to Boston University using the address above. Please note that receipt of this report may allow us to finalize your admission decision before the end of the spring semester.
Credit Evaluations: In order for us to provide a credit evaluation, you must submit syllabi for all college coursework for which you wish to receive transfer credit. Please email syllabi from your fall and spring semesters to credeval@bu.edu, including your name and date of birth at the top of each page."
THey dont really contact you in the beginning of the year.
@Dwarvo This really boosted my confidence. I had stats well over BC average but still got waitlisted; however, I still got in BU, NEU, and UCSD. I lost all confidence for Upenn Berkeley USC Cornell and NYU. I just want one of those. But now I realise that I shouldn’t lose my confidence over BC! And you guys shouldn’t lose your confidence over BU!
Guys if I got a scholarship, it would have shown on my portal right? So if nothing was there it means I didn’t get one right?

Very little FA unfortunately. Not what I was hoping to hear.
Accepted (!!!) CAS, with presidential scholarship + a grant (still might not be enough though )
35 ACT, 4.0 UW GPA, pretty standard ECs. One question though - if the decision didn’t say anything about the honors college, does that mean we didn’t get in, or are they releasing those decisions later?
