*boston university rd class of 2020 thread*

Accepted today but tentative about BU because of the cost. Also unsure about the January Boston-London program… I don’t know if I can handle sitting idle for a whole semester. If anyone who went through this program wants to inform me on what it’s line

lol waitlisted at BU but accepted to UCLA. The college admission process is really unexpected!

I haven’t received my decision yet. Are all decisions released today?

Did you check your applicant link?

Accepted to the CGS Boston-London program. Wanted Arts & Sciences, but this opportunity seems great! @bruin2020 what school did you apply for?

33 ACT/3.78 UW
Waitlisted at BU, but accepted to NEU and BC. Not sure why-- wasn’t planning on going to BU anyways. I’m just glad the BU decisions came out AFTER my two top schools did!

1770 SAT
26 ACT but didn’t send
GPA: 3.8 UW/4.6 W
Rejected with guaranteed transfer.
Rejected at Northeastern, Accepted at Boston College, Brandeis, Macalester, Mt Holyoke.

@Ajdhfh - sorry to see you did not receive good news from BU or Northeastern. Congrats on the acceptances to
UCF and RIT. Do you have any match schools you are still waiting to hear from? BU, Northeastern, and NYU are all reaches. You are a strong student, but acceptances to those schools can not be assumed. Hang in there.

I am regretting not applying to the Kichland HC… There’s not a way to apply now, is there?

that moment when you receive a grand total of $0.00 in financial aid. Anyone know any scholarships i can apply to to make this a possible choice for me?

@liviellamas4 current student in the program - the gap semester goes by fast and u can take courses at local colleges for some credit towards ur major as a non degrees seeking student but u right its hella expensive lol

@Themclos No, only applied to six colleges, (my mom thought even that was too much). We’ll see if NYU brings any better news come April 1st. Also still waiting to see if I received any financial aid from RIT. Hoping for anything at this point haha.

Accepted today to the Boston London program. Does anyone know if there is anyway to appeal a Boston-London decision? I really want to go to BU, but my parents won’t let me start a semester late? Is there any possibility to switch out of it ?

SAT: 1900 superscore (2 tries)
UGPA: 3.75
International student with U.S Citizenship

Accepted to CAS, no Trustee Scholarship but good financial aid. This was great news for me!!

ACT: 36
GPA: 4.0 UW, 4.6/5 W

Accepted to CAS and KHC with Presidential Scholarship

If you are talking to me, I am from Illinois!

@amandasiegel1998 no way to switch out, i’m sorry! Try having your parents take you to the accepted students day. Mine were unsure about the program at first but that sold them on it

Accepted! Now the only thing is the financial aid. When I sent the css/fasfa, it was using estimates based on our 2014 income. Once we knew our 2015 income, I emailed the school to find out how to update them, but they said updating was unnecessary unless you accept admission. So okay, but…what if my financial aid package changes once they know my 2015 income? Parental income was $68,000 in 2014 and $78,000 (because of a bonus) in 2015. BU gave me pretty good aid for my 2014 income, but im terrified that if I accept admission they’ll change my financial aid package to something I can’t afford.

Guaranteed transfer. Not sure if it’s tufts syndrome. Definitely think I showed interest (traveled to visit/tour, spoke with admissions director, etc). It was a safety for me but I would have loved to go had they given me enough money. Boston is a great city with so much life and so many connections. This week was an absolute blood bath. Congrats to all who got in

i think they are confused about the selection process for the program, as am I? they seem to think that this program is not as good for some reason? could you shed some light on it? thank you so much!!
