Boston university transfer fall 2020

@buttercup8989 no its literally all I think about lol. I check this thread every 15 mins. I also only applied to BU to transfer because its been my dream school forever so if I get in im going no matter what. if not im just staying at my school now.

Same haha i’m just lying on my bed, watching shows, checking this thread every 10minutes.

my last document got there this week

ive noticed that my portal hasn’t crashed since the first wave came out because I check it so much

This whole situation is so stressful

There were people in mid-May still getting accepted last year so don’t get discouraged!

Hey guys! I found that I got accepted just now! I was refreshing my portal couple minutes ago and the decision tab just popped up and said I was accepted to Questrom! However, the letter said April 16th. Here is something interesting that happened to me on the 15th: I got a letter said I was accepted but no school was indicated, and the letter was gone soon after.

Here are some of my stats!

Junior transfer international student attending a public school on the west coast.

HS GPA: 3.85/4.0 4.25/4.8

College GPA: 3.65

SAT: 1490 TOEFL: 114

No Rec with a decent amount of ECs.

Not sure if I will go since the tuition and living expenses are super high…

Good luck to everyone!

They also probably give mostly acceptances on that April 15th date because if people turn down the offer it opens more spots up for all the other applications they have to review

Congratsss, if you haven’t received enough aid, you can try to appeal for more.
Someone was accepted yesterday and his. letter said April 16th, it would mean that the portal takes one day to upload the decision?

thank you @OJJJJJJJJBK for giving us an update, I remember you said that happened to you the other day so weird. I just checked my portal again no update, but if you guys get decisions keep letting us know its super helpful and congratulations! I hope you can appeal for more money so you can attend

How do you appeal for more aid? What is the process like?

@corinnaolson Most of the time, you have to write a whole letter explaining why you need more (you have to provide some acceptable reasons), but i don’t know if BU works the same so i suggest you to contact them and you’ll know what is the process like.

Here’s the link to appeal aid. It seems pretty straightforward, but depending on your reasons the documents can really add up.

Congrats MAN! HAPPY TO HEAR THAT YOU FINALLY GOT IN!
Did you directly get the acceptance letter when you logged in?
They received or checked some of your documents this week right?
Wish me good luck!

is there a way to express ur interest in the school? I haven’t heard back yet and BU is definitely my number 1

@bamba2208 yes it was the first thing that came up!!! They literally received my college transcript two days ago. GOOD LUCK

Thanksss! what date is listed in your letter?
