Boston university transfer fall 2020

does anyone know what they’re going to do about housing? it must be hard for transfers to find roommates

Hi guys! I haven’t heard back yet, but a submission section for mid-term grade report just came up in my portal. Is this the case for anyone else?

I haven’t heard back either, but I haven’t been asked for midterm grades either. Not sure why I haven’t heard back or how the process works considering the fact I submitted everything way before the deadline. It seems they sent decisions to most of the students who just turned in their transcripts, college reports, and all that stuff last minute. Not sure if that’s true, but it just seems that way considering what people have been writing on this thread

Has anyone received a decision today??? I’m applying for class of 2022. I’m coming from UCLA and I have a 3.8 GPA. Hope that’s enough.

I don’t think anybody heard anything today

No, someone received his decision this morning.

Same thing happened to me.

I am applying for class of 2022. Does anyone check how many credits could be transferred? I checked mine base on the transfer equivalency chart. And I got 25 credits that couldn’t transfer. That is a lot!! I am also sending all my syllabus waiting to see their evaluation. Does anyone know it is going to be different than the chart? And how many credits are you guys able to transfer?

@lyj0711 When you get a decision letter, if you are admitted, they with tell you how many credits transferred. If you have credits that can’t transfer it usually has to do with the school you attend

anyone know if there will be decisions today

Well, they said decisions will be released everyday on a rolling basis so yeahh

If you guys receive your decisions please keep us updated.

@sky1017 they said they will be releasing decisions individually on a day to day basis

@corinnaolson Do you know if they release decisions on weekends?

they probably won’t release on weekends, and yes please post if you got a decision

In 2018 and 2019 there were only acceptance during the first weeks and only rejections during the last weeks (based on the threads).

I think they will still release on Fridays, but probably not weekends

I wouldn’t make that presumption. There are still a lot of people waiting who have very high GPAs. I’ve seen a few posts of people who have lower than the average GPA get accepted. Also there were a few people saying they have 3.7-4.0 gpas and they haven’t received their decisions. Not that an application is just about about gpa, but it would seem odd to admit somebody with a 3.3 and not somebody with a 3.8. It also depends on what you applied for because if you’re applying for anything involving the arts then the process for reviewing an application is quite different. I wouldn’t stress too much. I have a 3.7 gpa, extracurriculars, rec letters, a pretty solid essay and I still haven’t received anything

yeah I have a 4.0 with two essays because I did the optional one and I have two solid recommendations. they received my college transcript late which is why im thinking my decision won’t come out for another week or two but I also noticed that @buttercup8989 I also applied with a biology major in the college of arts and sciences with five extracurriculars

I honestly just think they review random applications in groups. I called this morning to make sure all of my materials were submitted (even though it says online it was) and this man put me on hold for legit 20 minutes. I have no idea why it took him so long to look and to see if my documents were all there. I think they really just haven’t reviewed everybody’s application yet. It doesn’t help we’re all stuck in quarantine and that it’s harder to distract yourself from wanting to know

When did you submit all your documents?
