Boston University, Tulane, Penn State, Binghamton, University of Miami

Hi, I was wondering what my chances are like to get into these schools, so if you could leave me some feedback and your opinion that would be great! I just took the SATs for the first time and got a 1850 (CR:630, M:600, W:620), but I plan on taking them again. I take every honors class that my school offers, two languages, and by next year I'll have six APs. I have a 3.7 gpa, I've played on my school's softball team for three years so far, and I'm in a club that's all about community service. I work as a lifeguard over the summer and I worked in an antique store as well. I'm from New York and I plan on majoring in anthropology. If I left something out just ask!

Can you give us some more information? Check out other chances posts to see the way they’ve formatted it. As of now, though, it seems like they’re reaches.

boston- match
penn state- match (low match if you can raise your SAT)
tulane- high match

@thelemonisinplay- how could you say they’re all reaches? Absolutely not.

BU: Match/High match
Tulane: Reach
PSU: Low match
Binghamton: Match/High match
U Miami: Match

You should work to improve your scores dramatically, take subject tests and do well on those, and work on volunteering/leadership.

@agreatperhaps I guess I worded that poorly - I didn’t mean to say that they were all reaches.

thanks everyone!

Aim for 31+/2100+…

@thelemonisinpplay i’m taking an SAT class and plan on taking subject tests this year. I was captain of my softball team and I’m a peer leader in my school, and I have a team for my school’s annual stay awake a thon, which raises money for cancer research every year. I plan on volunteering for the special Olympics because that’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and i’m trying to start a club at my school.

@bluejay1122 Fantastic! Let us know how everything goes once you get your results back :)
