Boston University vs. George Washington University

Hi everyone,

I am an international student from China and I have been admitted to both universities - however I am having a little trouble deciding here. I applied for Economics for BU, and an undecided major at the School of Business for GW. I am very likely to change to a business major (accounting) for BU (if I am attending) as many people told me that Accounting provides more job opportunities than Econ. However, if I attend GW instead, I would not have to change my major as I am already admitted to their school of business.

There are other factors I would like to consider, I am just gonna go ahead and list them below (from the highest to lowest importance):

Opportunities for internships and/or paid jobs after graduation (esp. for international students)/are their career centers helpful?

Professors - Are they good at teaching? Do TAs teach instead? Can students talk to them very often? I would like to establish good relationships with them to ensure good recommendation letters...

Changing major at BU - is it difficult?

Environment - location. Boston or D.C.? Which one has a better environment for students?

Rankings - BU is ranked #41 and GW is ranked #52 by USNews

Dorms

I have many friends who got admitted to colleges in Boston (Northeastern, Berklee College of Music, etc)

Any thoughts or comments? What else should I be considering?

I would also like to know about the grade deflation at BU :)

Hi! I have been admitted to both of these schools in the School of Business and I decided to go to BU as I have heard their career center is more helpful in gaining internships and jobs. Also changing major is not very difficult from school to school you need to take the required classes for the major and get good grades in it and if you have done well you can transfer(if this makes sense!). And I have a feeling Boston has a better student environment as its surrounded by universities so I hope to feel more comfortable. Hope this helps. :)
