Boston University Vs. Northeastern for Pre-Medical

Hello,
I am going to be entering my sophomore year of college and have been accepted for transfer at BU and NEU. I am waiting to hear back from GWU and UMD. I have to decide by friday for BU and I am not sure what to do. I like both Northeastern and BU and I am leaning towards BU for their research. If anyone could let me know what they think on both schools overall and which would be best that would be great.

I was accepted at Brandeis.

Now the decision is between brandeis, bu and northeastern… Not sure what to do leaning towards bu or northeastern because they have engineering if i dont end up doing medical. But I really like the research at bu and brandeis.

Sounds like BU fits both your needs for engineering and research. How about the cost of each, are they similar?

What is your current major? What school will accept most (or all) of your credits? Keep in mind that engineering is a difficult major, and keeping a high GPA is a top priority for medical school admissions. I have also heard that BU has grade deflation, and keeping a high GPA there might be more difficult than at Northeastern or Brandeis. See if you can get in touch with current pre-med students at each university and find out their opinions.

Brandeis is the most expensive but only 2-3 more then northeastern and bu per year after scholarships.

another consideration is NEU’s coop program, which generally means a 5-year plan.

Brandeis is very different socially, and by location. What at Brandeis appeals to you that the others don’t have?
