Boston Universtiy - do I even have a chance?

My GPA is currently a 3.8, and I am in far too many extracurricular activities. But, my ACT is only a 25.

A few activities I'm in: Student Class President, Student Council, Prism (Literary magazine), Link Crew (Freshmen Welcome team), NHS, Spanish Honors Society, Spanish Club, Peer Tutors, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Youth in Government, Soccer and multiple volunteer things.

I also take all AP and college classes, so I am challenging myself.

But like I said, my ACT score is lower than the average to get in and I really love BU. Are my chances okay even with my ACT score?

You have a decent chance. I would say that you should retake the ACT or take the SAT.

Better chance at CGS.

Taking AP classes means nothing unless you get a 4 or 5 on the AP tests.

Retake the ACT. If you can get a 30 you should be in

Thank you all. Side note, I am not trying to get credit from my AP classes. It just shows that I’m willing to challenge myself rather than get a 4.0 with regular classes!

Retake ACT and get a 29+. Then its a high match

Also note worthy, I am the first in my family to go to college. And my GPA is unweighted!

@tiinam if its UW then it would be a match with a 30+

I think its a low reach. I’ve heard of people with lower GPA and similar ACT getting accepted but they applied ED. I think that if this is your top choice then you should reach out to admissions and let them know. If you had the option to take the ACT again, I think a good goal would be between a 27-29.
