<p>I'm applying to a pretty wide variety of schools, but I'm essentially aiming high (HYP+others in the top 20).
Spanish is my forte, so I def want to ask my AP Spanish teacher from last year. Plus she's awesome and loves me.
I asked my English teacher today (taught me 9th and ap lang), but I just realized that it's good to have a science rec too...none of my schools require it but still.
I COULD ask my ap chem teacher from last year, and I'm sure he'd write me a <em>pretty</em> good recommendation, but I don't think it would be as good as my English teacher's.
Do you think I should ask my chem teacher instead of my lang teacher? does the science/non-science thing matter that much?</p>
<p>would it maybe be a good idea to get an additional rec from my science olympiad advisor instead? he knows me pretty well and could talk about my science achievements as well… 
i dunno, i’ve heard additional recs look bad/bother the adcom sometimes though?</p>
