Boy scout as community service?

Does volunteering in boy scout activities count as community service if you participate in their food drive etc. and you are the member of boy scouts and you are getting hours to your records?

Of course. You are supposed to be keeping your own log of volunteer activities. You probably have at least a hundred if you’re still active as a senior.

Sure. Why not? Keep in mind that generic volunteering like participating in food drives isn’t particularly impressive or differentiating. And there is no unwritten rule that every student has to volunteer somewhere if they want to get into a selective school (although some school districts require a certain number of hours for graduation.)

It is the kind of services count, it does not matter if it is for a school club, a church, or boy scout.
