Boyfriend; Engineering Transfer 2010

I'm a sophomore attending Texas A&M as a Mech. Engineer. And my boyfriend of 4+ years finally decided to try transferring to A&M. Hes currently a junior at his university with a 3.2 GPA and his major is Electrical Engineering. Last semester he got all As. So its obvious hes been working harder lately in efforts to get in. On his application he chose EE as his first choice and Physics as his second. I really want him to get in. And I hate having to wait for the decision. What are his chances? Will he more than likely get in as General Studies? ...I know engineering is extra competitive and I'd also read a thread recently stating that someone else didn't get into Physics because it was full.

Not very good chances. A 3.2 GPA is pretty low for wanting to transfer into engineering, which is really competitive like you’ve said. He’ll more likely get into General Studies if he gets in at all. GPA is the most important factor in transfer admissions, so he has low to decent chances to even get in.

as long as he works hard thise semester and gets more As he GPA will be better
