I was wondering if anyone else is participating in Brain Bee and how your studying is going?

I am interested too! How can I register for the test?

[local coordinators in USA](http://www.internationalbrainbee.com/local_USA)

contact your local coordinator through this.

bumppppppp

I never knew this even existed, but I will definitely start preparing for this!

Great!, The local bee is mostly based on a free online book called “Brain Facts”.

Great! Preparation for Brain Bee will work well with USABO prep!

I just downloaded Brain Facts, and borrowed Neuroscience textbook from my Anatomy teacher. This will be fun!

By the way, ImSoAmbitious, do I just have to master human brain? What about other animals?

I think it is Human Brain mostly, but there is some neurohistology.

^
ImSoAmbitious and EveningSwan:

Let us make a online studying group here!

I am studying too. It’s very interesting. My local and national coordinators (Canada) told me that they will not be using Brain Facts, but Neuroscience: The Science of the Brain…You were told to study Brain Facts?

Also, how are you studying? For example, are you repeatedly rereading the book?

^I think you’re right. I checked some website and they said that they’ll be using Neuroscience. I’m just going to be reading the book, and taking notes if I feel like it.

BTW, does ‘le gateau’ mean ‘the cake’? :)

^
Wait a minute…so Brain Facts will not be used anymore? What about in USA?

Is Neuroscience: The Science of Brain a textbook I have to buy or is it a PDF textbook?

I downloaded the Neuroscience book from a PDF file, so no need to buy it. I’m not 100% sure that they’re using the Neuroscience book, you might want to check your local coordinator.

We should form questions for each other to answer. How much have you studied so far?

I actually haven’t started studying yet (don’t judge :P). My priority right now is USABO/IBO so I’ve been devoting all of my time for that.

I have been studying USABO too! Studying for Brain Bee and Science Olympiad will also help me preparing for USABO

I believe USA is still using Brain Facts. Yes lets make the studying group!

I’m planning on studying for the Brain Bee competition this year, too! Has anyone started a study group yet?

wait what is difference between brain fact 2008 and 2012? Like would it be okay to use 2008, cause I printed 2008 out and I don’t want to waste like 80 more pages :P

is it too late to begin studying?! the regional competition isnt until Feb for my region. We use Brain Facts.
