North Quad or Massell?

Anyone else excited?

This is the son of the lady who runs this account again. I'm personally looking into North Quad. I've heard its the way to go..also, I've herad horrible things about the Sherman dining hall.

You don't have a choice of where you live and Sherman is not as bad as you've probably heard.

Well, on the upside, Sherman has ice cream and toppings. Freshman 15 all the way! They do have some good stuff, but it really depends. I vastly prefer Usdan with it's burritos. :)

But really, Usdan isn't that much of a walk. Maybe 5 minutes tops from Massell.

It really does not matter. If anything, you should request by BUILDING because Scheffres and Gordon (in North) and Renfield (in Massell) have been newly remodeled. (That's 3/8 of the first-year buildings.)

If you know you take mostly all humanities courses, I would go North because North is adjacent to the North Academic Quad that has all History, Politics, English, World Language Classes, NEJS courses, etc.

If you are Kosher, it's probably more convenient to live in Massell since it's right next to the Sherman dining hall-the dining hall that has a kosher side. (cold kosher to go is available in Usdan - the other dining center close to North.)

Keep in mind that Brandeis is a small campus so it really, truly is not a big deal at all whether you are a North or Massell resident.

Congrats everyone! Feel free to PM me (a current sophomore) with any questions.

Im sooooo pumped! I'm going to Brandeis next year! Who will be my friend?

If any of you guys have any questions or just want to talk to a current freshman, either PM me or AIM me soallieslike. I'll also totally be your facebook friend. ;) Especially IM me if you're into politics, we're always looking for new people to get involved. It was probably one of the BEST decisions I made in my first few weeks to get involved with some of the political organizations on campus. If you have any questions about activism or even just a fleeting interest, I'd love to hear from you!

im in and excited
