Which college is more prestigious?

Which college is better for premed?

Which college is it easier to get a high GPA 3.4 and up at for an A- to A student in high school?

I'd say Wesleyan is the most prestigious. I don't really know much about Wake Forest. Because I know Wesleyan is more liberal arts-y, I'd say Brandeis is best for pre-med.

I can say for one I was scared out of my mind entering college in fear of how academically rigorous it was. I had a perfect GPA in high school but it wasn't that rigorous. Needless to say my GPA is now only a sliver under 3.9. If you try hard, keep up with your work, and participate in class I see no problem maintaining a GPA of half As and half Bs.

That is, if you're in the humanities or social sciences. I assume it'd be alot tougher for science/pre-med.

This logic doesn't make sense. "The liberal arts" cover science as well as everything else, and most people at unis are in fact in the liberal arts college within that uni (sometimes called the college of Arts+Science), unless they are doing something like education, engineering, etc.

In fact, despite being a LAC, Wes has small grad programs in most of the sciences, which works out very ell for the undergrads in science, because grad school funding + tiny #s of grad students = lots of opportunity for undergrad research. I’m not going to claim Wes is best for pre-med, because I don’t know about the other two, but we are very good.

Its also totally possible to get a 3.4+ here: I know science students who even have 4.0s, though they work like crazy to earn them. I'm guessing that will be true at the other two as well.

Have you considered fit as well as these other issues? Most people don't consider both Wes and Wake Forest, and I'm curious about what attracts you to these three schools.

I have a friend who is studying Neuroscience at Wesleyan. She is very happy and she says the classes are very challenging and she has had lots of internship opportunities.

However, I'm sure Brandeis would be the same way, and I hear great things about their research facilities.

I don't know very much about Wake Forest, except that it is very well respected here in the South.

All three schools are very good and are very demanding. To the degree that one may be "easier" than the others, it's marginal.

Have you considered Tufts or your state school?
