Breakfast

I'm coming for my reunion in a few weeks and will be taking a red eye into Bradley, landing very early on Friday morning. Another alum will be picking me up for the drive to Northampton, and we're wondering if anyone can suggest any place fun to stop for breakfast on our way from the airport.

Looking forward to it, and packing my white dress and "last competent class' button!

cattv

if you can wait til you get to Northampton, Sylvester's has a great brunch. it's the former home of Sylvester Graham (of cracker fame).

Ditto the rec for Sylvesters.

Sylvester's is good for brunch, but they may not be open early in the morning. I highly recommend Jake's No Frills Dining (yes, that literally is the name) on King Street (just go straight on Pleasent Street, cross Main St, and it's there on your right). I'm pretty sure they open up early. Or else we have a Starbucks, a Brueggers, and a Dunkin' Donuts.

Sylvester's is open for breakfast.

I know they're open for breakfast, but she said she was coming in to Bradley "very early" on Friday morning. It only takes forty minutes to drive from Hartford to Noho, so its possible she might arrive before Sylvester's opens and I think Jake's opens up earlier.

Besides it's good to have options.

Jake's No Frills IS a great "joint" for breakfast. It provides lots of local atmosphere and you can get an excellent All-American breakfast.

Thanks all...by the time we get to Northampton I'm guessing it will be at least 9ish. Sylvester's and Jake's both sound great. Not as good as Smith's famous Sunday morning coffee cake back in the day, though, I'd bet :)

That would be '77 - - yellow sash?

I'm afraid that's right, nyc.

I saved the yellow sash too.

So...does that mean you'll sash-ay back to Smith?

quick-witted that TD, gotta give him props!

I just returned from Northampton and had two great breakfasts at Haymarket which is on Main Street. Try the herbed eggs! Great coffee too. And for the best cookies you ever tasted, try the Cowboy cookie at Woodstar.

My D and friends love Haymarket for breakfast. Great find SM!
