Well, none of my friends read Stephenie Meyer and I was wondering who else out there is eagerly awaiting the release of Breaking Dawn. Any predictions?

I'm not an extreme fanatic and I won't be buying it on the day it comes out, but I'm definitely looking forward to it!

Poor jacob...he needs a happy ending

I hope the movie is good too!

does anyone know where I can read the first chapter of it online? My friend who is obsessed told me about a really funny scene about Edward buying Bella a bulletproof car and I want to read it lol

I am going crazy waiting for it and I am glad it is almost here. I agree that Jacob needs a happy ending but I hope he does not end up with Bella. If it does not go how I want I will be crushed.
I am "Waiting breathlessly untill dawn breaks":)

I am looking forward to it. I just read the series this summer. I'm not a hardcore fan but I am looking forward to it... I may read it on Saturday, I have a party to go to that night and I may read it then. Or wait until Monday.

Never heard of the book. Is there a reason all the posters in this thread so far have been females?

@ peachsnapple- you can read the first chapter online at her website (www.stepheniemeyer.com...it's under the Breaking Dawn tab)

I can't wait for Breaking Dawn to be released!!!! IMO, Stephenie Meyer is a great author! :D Personally, I'm more of an Edward fan (I'm not really into Jacob getting Bella), but Jacob doesn't deserve a horrible ending.

And I don't know if any of you know this, but Stephenie Meyer posted a SPOILER on Breaking Dawn!!! It has to do with who Bella chooses, but I don't want to give it away (it's also on her website)

August 2nd won't come fast enough!! Are any of you going to those premiere parties? Just out of curiosity.. Yeah...i'm really obsessed :)

@BeKindRewind: It's a teen love romance between a girl and a vampire and it's definitely something girls scream over. My friend shrieks every time she hears Edward Cullen.

@ BeKindRewind yes there is a reason all the people who have respnded are female, it is kind of a girlie series, but I do know guys who have read the books.
@meadow36 I had heard about the spoiler but I am fighting the urge to read it, I proably will though. There are no premiere parties even close to where I live so I can't go to one. :( I am also proudly obsessed. :D

I read the spoiler....
I'm also a huge Edward fan. I fell in love with him, I tease my boyfriend (who's super sweet) that Edward is the only guy who is sweeter than him. hahaha

There aren't any premiere parties around me either...&& I think I have to work Friday. I get off at midnight tho, I might run to the store and pick it up if I'm gonna read it quick tho. haha

They're pretty fluffy, so I'm not a huge fan. I read the first three and I might read the fourth if I can borrow it from someone (I borrowed the first three from the library). They're like beach reading, if you know what I mean.

I would have more respect for the books if Ella and Jacob ended up together (by choice, not caused by Edward's death or something). That would make the books deviate a little from the typical romance, I think.

(Although I don't have anything against people that like them- they're sort of like an annoying but really really catchy song.)

And I wouldn't read the spoiler... don't you think you'd enjoy the book more if you didn't? I wish that the back of the first book didn't say that Edward was a vampire...

what? this thread's about a book? o.O..

^ your point......

^ your point......

is that I didn't know that this thread was about a book. somehow the thread didn't register.

What is your point of replying to a post by asking what was my point?

next time i won't forgo the cookies and the pokemon. hopefully then, you won't be so much caustic.

oh sorry, I thought you were insulting the fact that it was about a book and therefore it was pointless. You merely pointed out the obvious, which seemed pointless. therefore I asked what your point was in posting such a pointless post... wow I used pointless 3 times in sentence wow...

Yeah, haha, a title like Breaking Dawn just doesn't register immediate that it's about a book, especially since I rarely, if ever, read.

I can mildly understand the confusion...but w/e.

Brillar- i agree with you about them being like beach reading... I also think if Bella & Jacob ended up together it would be different from the typical romance, but, I would never understand it and would be quite disapointed with the series unless it was incredibly done...
The spoiler, I came across accidentally and, well I won't say what it said of course, but I honestly don't think it spoils much. The tiny detail that was released (By Stephenie Meyer herself, who is extremely against spoilers, but promised it took nothing away from the story by revealing this one detail. & In fact it was the only thing she felt comfortable giving away). The article states it happens VERY early in the book and that it is far from the main plot of the book and lots of interesting twists occur after this one part.

So just because the spoiler says one detail, I don't think it means anything about Bella's future is set in stone.

....i never finished twilight.

Well I'm also an Edward fan. I really can't stand Jacob. He needs to except the inevitable and move on by imprinting on some one. However I really like Seth, he's the only werewolf I really like actually.

I read the spoiler :D :D :D

Hee hee hee :D I love it when things work out the way I want!!! It was a good end to the series.
