breaking into consulting after undergrad...

I am currently deciding wheher to attend DePaul or Ohio State next yearas an undergrad finance major, does either have an upperhand regarding placement into 2nd tier consulting firms (obviously not MBB) directly out of ug?

also in regards to recruiting, I know both OSU and DePaul are actively recruited by big 4, but does placement with other firms such as accenture differ between the two schools?

I have friends going to Deloitte, Accenture, and some smaller regional firms for consulting. Generally the kids that get hired for Deloitte go work out of Cleveland, and the kids at Accenture get thrown everywhere. Oh btw, I go to OSU.

^ what was their gpa? Do those firms hire a large number of osu grads or are they harder to land a job with?

Generally the kids that go into consulting are near the top of their classes. GPAs probably at least 3.5 - 3.7. I mean it’s not a lot of people, but by the same token if you set your sights on it it’s achievable.
