<p>mine's has 666 words right now.
im gonna make it 500 or fewer, but as long as the essay flows well, the length isnt a big problem :)</p>
<p>Admissions_Daniel has said the typical essay on the community is around 700-1000 words, while the other one on your major/interest is usually around 250-500 words.</p>

<p>mine are both pretty long... had to make the major one and the common app one slightly all long... like 650-800ish... major one is 550-600ish... its pretty beast...</p>
<p>I'm applying undecided- and my answer is only 150 words- I know its short, but really- how long can you drag on about why your undecided? If I backed myself up pretty well, should I be ok?</p>
<p>Many people get in as undecided. If you explain why you are undecided in a convincing manner and the rest of your app is strong, you are just as likely to get in (or not get in) as anyone else.</p>

<p>no limits, the suggested word count for the community essay is 500-1k words, for the shorter one its suggested to to around 500</p>
<p>wait - when you say "first essay" or "main essay," you're talking about either the common app essay or the topic 1 jhu supp essay, right? i hope there's not another essay i'm unaware of -__-</p>
