The study abroad is required, the cost is covered by the foundation. The kids are allowed to choose anything that works for them. There are several discussing a 2 month one in Hong Kong this summer.
No complaints here! As far as activities, they’ve had a one-on-one check-in with a few of the Brockman team early in the semester, then a big banquet with a lot of university officials, the Brockman team and an astronaut. They were included in the Mays business scholarship banquet and also the Engineering one.
