I applied to Brown, but not PLME. I’m really doubtful of any acceptance… just got waitlisted by Northwestern, rejected by Amherst. -_-

So far I’m on a streak w/ duke, middlebury, rice, oberlin, and smith, but i have a gut feeling this will end with brown and penn. Which path to imminent dread should i take first on April 1? brown or penn?

WAIT…did you apply to rice RD or ED?

Probably URM likely letters

Definitely nervous after Middlebury rejectionnn=/

lol. Rejected by Chig (I was counting on its high admit rate from last year :/) and waitlisted by WUSTL. The latter was to be expected, really.

I’m applying RD as well, and to the PLME program.
Do we find out about PLME the same day as the regular acceptance?

Excited but nervous~

Brown Philosophy applicant here. But i’ve already given up hope. Got two C’s first semester cuz I got sick and missed like half a month of school and never managed to catch up.

@akmeecheen

yeah me too because i got really sick first semester of junior year and ended up with two C’s as well. I asked my counselor to explain this is her rec, but i don’t know if they’ll be sympathetic. probably not… there are too many d@mn applicants

hahaha at least you have some degree of explanation in your app. Mine happened after everything was submitted so I never really sent anything. I did mention it when i went for my interview though, so they do know about it. But like you said, probably won’t make much of a difference. Screwed nonetheless.

^^that happened to me junior year, little sister was hospitalized for three months(thanksgiving to february) and i had to basically live at the hospital with my other little sister. It was finals time and then the start of the semester, which killed my grades(ended with three C’s total), but my counselor said that if you at least make an attempt to explain what happened, they take it into account…lol, at least im hoping they do, or im screwed So have hope!! :)

i guess there’s a lot of us then… i ended up with two C’s my sophomore year although I did make up the C with an A in a community college class. But then got a c my senior year from my calc bc class cuz our class is so freakin hard… i swear… i regret taking this class like none other…

I got a B- in math last year…total disaster. i hope my B+ in AP calc evens it out a little and shows them i’m not completely stupid.

i know where you’re all coming from. was in the hospital for over 3 weeks. ridiculous catching back up and maintaining decent gradse

luckily I’ve never had tremendous emergencies, so I haven’t missed much school. I am freaking out about my test scores though. They aren’t high, although my gpa is a 4.0…Thursday, please get here!

2 days, everyone! I wish you all the best of luck. After my ED deferral, the wait that began November 1st is finally ending, and that’s the best news of all! Remember that even if you get rejected, you’re wonderful! :)

wow… you really do have high hopes… i really like your cheerful attitude!
it’s april first and i can’t see the admission decision. there is like this button that you can click on for your admission decision, but then i get a letter saying that decisions aren’t available…
anyone get in…??? or rejected???
care to post up stats when you guys do??
thanks a lot! :)

^ Everyone got an e-mail saying that it will come out anywhere from 5 to 7pm your local time.

but… TODAY IS THE BIG DAY!!!

I wish everyone the best of luck! I hope we all get in!
I’ve stayed up all night “binge” praying and finishing this lengthy scholarship, so I’m going to go to bed (at what, 7am!? xD) and hopefully when I get up, decisions will be out! :3

I probably won’t be able to sleep. Lol.

I know that this might be hard to believe, but a few of us EDers are so extremely nervous for all of you an d wish you the very best of luck!! just pull through these last 4 and a half hours. Good luck to all of you!!
