"Requirement
IDOC Packet from CSS

Instructions
Entering students will be notified to send required documentation to the CollegeBoard’s Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC). If you have successfully completed the CSS Profile and have not received a request to submit those documents, please contact the Office of Financial Aid at financial_aid@brown.edu. Returning students should refer to the application instructions located on the Office of Financial Aid’s website. You may check the status of your IDOC packet online at idoc.collegboard.com."

Does anybody else have this in their Financial Aid tab?

Serentic, just checked. I do. Probably everyone does.

^where do you see that? I don’t have it. sigh…

I was deferred in ED. Does anyone know if Brown would email a new user name and password to me or I should stick with the original one?

Log in, click the Financial Aid tab, click “Undergraduate Students”, click “Requirements”

@wangy, I don’t see any reason why you would need a new username. it’s the same application.

stupiddorkyidiot, did you recheck? I’m sure you probably have it.

I don’t have it. It just says my IDOC is satisfied…?

stupiddorky, if you posted your stats somewhere and I’m remembering them correctly, your grades are… infinitely higher than mine and I’m fairly certain your SAT was better as well.

Even if you didn’t post them and I’m crazy, your GPA is still higher, guaranteed.

@serentic, you might be right (I have a 2350/4.0uw), but numbers aren’t everything, especially for Brown…

D doesn’t have anything listed about the IDOC – and we haven’t submitted our IDOC. She just has the CCSS and FAFSA listed as satisfied, no mention of IDOC at all. So that may be a good sign for those who have it, and bad for us.

To be honest, it probably doesn’t mean anything. I feel like Brown wouldn’t let anything slip through to indicate admission status early.

Ours doesn’t even say IDOC is satisfied… no mention of IDOC at all. I take that as a bad sign. It says everything is satisfied and they’ll contact us if they need anything else… so I think the fact that they list your IDOC means your application made it through to Financial Aid for a check at least.

I guess all we can do is wait.

Let me just clear a few thing sup for you “ancy nancies” ;). We spoke about this same topic just a few weeks ago. The end result was a big- DON’T WORRY. Brown requests the IDOC from some people, and for others they don’t need it. As far as I know, if they didn’t need it, they gathered enough data from your FAFSA and CSS to create an appropriate package. These schools really don’t want decisions going out early, so I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t make it that obvious.

Correct me if I’m wrong.

Aery gold and serentic, did you send In your idoc? Mine just says satisfied and is listed under satisfied requirements.

Thank you so much jabberwoo123. Very helpful, calming advice!

Thanks, jabberwoo. Much appreciated <3 I’m antsy beyond belief.

Avalde, I also sent in my IDOC and it’s just listed under satisfied. So at least you and I are in the same place. No worries.
