Did they email everybody who got in or just the people who have a connection to admissions? I’m curious about the point of having official letters if they just inform everybody the day before.
Can someone who got in off the wait list, please share the email with us. No disrespect but it’s hard to know what’s real and isn’t. In past years it seems people first learned through a phone call not an email.
I got a phone call today at 2:11…
It was the assistant director of admission telling my they wanted to offer me a spot. And the letter would come out officially tomorrow by email. As well as the portal would change.
I also have no connections to them. Just a normal applicant.

Hi! I just got my call today at a little past 6. All I was told was that I got off the Brown waiting list, and it would be sent to me via mail in days to come (can’t remember if he said tomorrow or just days to come). I have no connections to Brown (no legacy, hooks, or URM) but super hyped to get in!
I live in Northern Virginia, and from my caller’s perspective, each region seemed to have a different allocation of slots (my area had 3 I believe). Had until next Friday to commit.
Hi! I was wondering if any international student heard from Brown. Please let me know, the wait is making me anxious.
@cc20202020 Hi, fellow international here and I haven’t heard anything from other international friends about Brown waitlist offers. Hoping they just haven’t started sending out offers to international students.
@firestorm98 thank you. Where are you from?
To those who were contacted: did you get your official letters yet? What do they say?
Harvard released the statistics on how many they took off the waitlist (around 40-50) but I don’t think they’ve contacted anyone. I do expect that we’ll get more news within the next few days about Brown
Im from Puerto Rico. My counselor also told me that she was contacted by admissions to send my most recent grades.
@humanperson were you stalking me? I was more creeped out than anything by your post lol. Btw im a she.
But yeah, like I said, they should be letting people know by waves soon. As for the person who said a financial aid offer appeared on their portal, it’s possible you’ve been offered admission but have not been notified yet. In my portal there is a financial aid award but in the “decision” it still says that the decision is not available. Good luck to all! (Though i wouldnt be too worried, i believe evrything happens for a reason and everyone will end up where they’re better off [thought this before i got off the waitlist too and still do])
@cc20202020 im from Singapore and still waiting for any intimation from Brown to international students
@dbres123 asking for grades doesn’t exactly mean you are off the waitlist right?
@dbres123 Not stalking you, simply utilizing a feature of the site - one they designed for this very purpose. Didn’t mean to offend but I’m sure you can understand why I was skeptical. Thanks for sharing info.
Does anybody else have their financial aid offer on their portal?
Congratulations to everyone who’s accepted!
Did any international get accepted yet?
not that i know of
@dbres123 that’s a really good sign, at all the schools I got into they reached out to see my grades about a week before I got my acceptance, the one school that didn’t ask my counselor for my grades was the one school I got denied from. If they ask for your grades, they’re just doing a quick double check to make sure you haven’t completely fallen flat before they make up their mind
Anything new for anyone today regarding being contacted?
Does anyone know if Brown will use the waitlist this year? thanks
