Brown Class of 2022 Applicants Discussion

I think if this is the final time then it’s ET (based on last year and the fact that Brown is in Providence)

I emailed them today and they said they hadn’t come up with a date yet but hopefully you guys are right and it is Thursday I can’t wait until friday ughhhh. Good luck to everyone!

I have a question. For early decision on common app we all had to submit an ED agreement signed by our parents. I have heard a rumor that some people have this doc as “submitted” while others say theirs is “downloaded” and some people say that if it has been downloaded then this is indicative that you were accepted. Does anyone know if this has any merit? Its making me real nervous because mine only says “submitted”

darn everything says downloaded for me but that…

My counselor’s ED agreement is downloaded but my parent ED agreement is submitted… Well now I just got even more nervous :frowning:

Mine says submitted as well.

The sad thing is that it kinda makes sense

Does it say downloaded for anyone?

So either we all just got rejected or its not true. Oh boy…

Parent ED Agreement? Mine says downloaded.

Huh. Are you sure this means something??

@Dashriek_712 Mine also just says “submitted.” If I were you, I would dismiss this as just another rumor. Although I can’t falsify it, I would argue that as all other documents in that section (including the counselor ED agreement) were downloaded on 11/1 (before decisions were made), the downloading of documents has nothing to do with decisions.

Also, I’m pretty sure that there was an item on the portal checklist for the ED agreement that was checked off.

I know I should not do this but it is hard not to interpret any little nuance in the college application process… Can someone please explain this ED agreement thing? I am totally freaked out

@DaveNBuster if you don’t mind, may I ask what is the date that your parent ED agreement is downloaded?

Panic time for me

@jdbxjbl @DaveNBuster yes this is an important detail

@jdbxjbl According to my friend, he believes that colleges will only download your ED agreement signed by your parents (under the FERPA section under Dashboard in Common App) if you have been accepted. Otherwise there is no point in downloading it if you have been rejected, so it just says submitted. I really hope this isnt true

well now at least i have no expectations of getting in

That means nothing. Someone who got into Cornell says theirs is just submitted.

I’m sorry. I misinterpreted the “Counselor ED Agreement” for the Parent ED Agreement you mentioned. Didn’t realize there were two! Mine still says submitted. Very very sorry for the mixup.

Guys the parent ED thing has been shown as false in past threads. Don’t look into it.
